Universal Studios UK Construction Update, January 2026 🚧 | Busy at the Bedford Site
Big changes are happening at the Universal Studios UK construction site in Kempston Hardwick, Bedfordshire, and in this video I take the drone up for a full aerial look at the latest activity on site. There’s been a noticeable shift since the last update — the Wazinator 1000 (concrete crusher) has now disappeared, along with one of the 20-ton diggers. But in their place, we’ve spotted a new 30-ton digger and a dumper truck, hinting that the project may be entering a new phase. We can also see topsoil being scraped away, although it’s not yet clear whether this is for investigation works or the early stages of stripping and stockpiling ahead of major construction. Either way, it’s a very promising sign. The core zone is buzzing with activity, and the temporary haul road is really starting to take shape, suggesting that enabling works are progressing well and momentum is building for the construction of Universal Studios UK in Bedford. HUGE Changes at Universal Studios UK as Construction Activity Ramps Up | January 2026
Welcome to the latest on-site construction update from Universal Studios, where progress is finally becoming clear across multiple zones. In this video, I take a detailed look at what’s currently happening in the West Gateway zone, where activity remains limited but notable changes are still taking place. A permanent security guard is now stationed at the gate, marking a new phase of site control and access. Nearby, the Wazinator 1000 concrete crusher continues working on the concrete slab, crushing and recycling material to create a new haul road as part of the site’s infrastructure. The most dramatic developments are unfolding in the Core Zone. New platform or temporary road panels have been installed, and a large brand-new compound is now being formed at the highest point of the zone. These changes represent a significant shift in construction momentum and strongly suggest that full-scale building work is now underway. No more "ifs" or "buts"—Universal Studios is officially coming to the UK! 🎢✨ With a 476-acre site, thousands of jobs, and world-class attractions on the horizon, the UK theme park scene is about to change forever. Universal Studios UK Construction Update | SDO Goes Live Tomorrow! (January 2026)
Welcome back to Project Universal! In today’s video, we head back to the Universal Studios UK construction site for a fresh January 2026 update — filmed on Sunday, January 11th, just one day before the SDO order officially comes into effect on Monday, January 12th, 2026. While the site is largely quiet ahead of the SDO activation, we did spot some familiar action returning. The Wazinator 1000 is back on site, crushing concrete alongside the Collis boys and turning it into high-quality sub-base material for future use. It’s great to see Universal prioritising on-site recycling, reusing existing materials before bringing new ones in later down the line. Universal Studios UK! What They’re Building Now… (Late November 2025)

Visit our website - https://ProjectUniversal.uk ★ We’re back on site at Universal Studios UK for another end-of-November look — and things have been busy despite the cold and muddy conditions! Over on the concrete slab, the pace hasn't slowed down at all. Much of the concrete has been dug up to create a complex sub-base for the brand-new road system. This new roadway appears to be part of the work needed to access and stabilise the landslide area across the Lake Zone, and it’s clear there’s been a huge push here in the past few weeks. Meanwhile, in the Core Zone, crews have been hard at work cutting back thick vegetation and generally tidying the entire area. Rumour has it they may have discovered some sort of lizard or wildlife living there — no idea if that’s true or connected, but either way, a ton of overgrowth has now been cleared, giving us a much better look at what’s to come. Over at the Transport Hub, things are unusually quiet today. No vehicles on site, likely because the whole area is far too muddy for machinery to operate safely. Also interesting — the recent roadworks used for borehole testing between the old A421 and the new A421 bypass seem to have vanished. These tests were presumably linked to the future overpass that will bring visitors straight off the A421 and directly into the park. There’s still a long way to go, but every week we’re seeing more signs of progress. 🔍 Universal Studios UK Construction Update | No Major Changes This Week (October 2025 Drone Footage)
Welcome back to Universal Studios UK – your go-to channel for the latest updates on the UK’s most anticipated theme park project! 🎢 This week’s visit shows very little visible progress on site. The concrete slab looks the same as before, and there’s not much activity happening around the main construction zones. I couldn’t quite tell if there’s a new digger on site or not. Due to high winds, I decided to keep the drone in one position for safety, so today’s footage is from a static viewpoint. Even so, I did notice something interesting — up near the ponds in the lake zone, it looked like someone was walking toward a tent. I’ll check it out next time when the weather clears! Also, that yellow car near the transport hub has finally disappeared — maybe it was stuck or just part of the security team. After watching the video back I did see some diggers over the far side of the north site and I also spotted the 2 people in yellow hi-vis on the south side but I did not spot them on the drone screen. A revisit to the south site confirms the diggers have indeed moved onto the north site and the hands and knees archaeologists are on site going through the trenches documenting the history beneath the land. This is an exciting time and I cannot wait to read the report and see what was found. Driving past the site today I spotted a digger so rushed home and grabbed the drone. It looks like the operator is clearing the hardstanding of debris. Could it be to prepare for its removal? I think it's most likely clearing a site for cars to park and/or temporary buildings to be sited as when and if anything should happen then it'll need office/work space.
